ANDREW BRODIE NAMED AS THE NEW CEO OF SUNSHINE COAST AIRPORT
Australia’s Sunshine Coast Airport has announced the appointment of Andrew Brodie as its new CEO, succeeding veteran, Peter Pallot, who will retire from the role at the end of the year.
For the past eight years, Brodie has worked in senior executive positions for Brisbane Airport Corporation, most recently as general manager for airline and retail management.
Announcing his appointment, chair of Sunshine Coast Airport, Dennis Chant, said: “The Board of Sunshine Coast Airport is confident that Andrew has the skillset, experience and energy required to lead Sunshine Coast Airport to the next level and to capitalise on the significant investment that is currently being made in upgrading its infrastructure.
“Andrew brings with him many years of experience in the aviation, infrastructure, property and tourism sectors, as well as extensive experience working with local, state and federal authorities.
“During his time at Brisbane International Airport, Andrew has been involved with one of the most comprehensive and pace-setting transformations of an airport in Australia.
“We believe this experience will be invaluable as we undertake a similar transformation and expansion of Sunshine Coast Airport, including the commissioning of a new runway that will massively increase the potential of the airport.”
Paying tribute to the long serving Pallot, Chant added: “I would again like to pay tribute to the contribution Peter Pallot has made to the growth of Sunshine Coast Airport over the last 12 years and wish him and his family all the best in his retirement.”
Andrew Brodie will commence the role at Sunshine Coast Airport in March 2019.
