Hong Kong International Airport to host Virtual Job Fair
More than 1,000 job openings at over 30 companies associated with Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) will be up for grabs at a Virtual Job Fair tomorrow and on Friday.
The event has been organised by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) and the Labour Department with the job opportunities said to be across the entire airport community.
Indeed, it is revealed that the jobs cover a wide variety of different roles at HKG, including air cargo, airport security, baggage handling, technical services, engineering and customer service.
Participants can visit exhibiting companies’ virtual booths online, browse vacancies and chat with company representatives to apply for jobs and arrange interviews.
Florence Chung, AAHK’s executive director of human resources and administration, said: “Following the success of last year’s event, we are happy to host the HKIA Virtual Job Fair again this year.
“In addition to applying for job openings at various airport companies, candidates can also apply for AAHK’s Management Trainee Programme and Graduate Engineer Programme, which nurture talented youths to support the future development of the airport.
“We believe that global air travel will recover gradually, offering promising career prospects in the aviation industry.”
The two-day event will feature six live webcast career talks to provide information about different roles in the aviation industry, as well as advice on job hunting and interviews. A talk about AAHK’s Management Trainee Programme will be hosted on December 2 from 12,15pm to 12.45pm.
Current management trainees will join the post-talk chatroom to share their experience and answer questions from participants.
